Challenges

In India, unemployment among educated individuals has become a critical issue, with rates rising from 35.7% to 66.7% between 2000 and 2022. Despite spending years in education, many graduates, especially non-technical ones, struggle to find suitable jobs due to a lack of industry-relevant skills. A large portion of these individuals, particularly from rural and middle-class backgrounds, prepare for government exams as their primary career goal. However, outdated syllabi and limited options mean that those who fail these exams are left with few alternatives and often take up low-paying jobs like watchmen or laborers. Moreover, they lack the skills needed to secure positions in corporate offices, which further limits their career growth.

The absence of platforms that combine skill-building with earning opportunities leaves their potential untapped, impacting their financial stability and adding to mental and social stress. This growing gap highlights the urgent need for solutions that empower these individuals to use their knowledge to build a sustainable livelihood.
